I booked this hotel for 5 nights from February 27 to March 4 while I waited to close on a condo.

I chose this hotel because it’s Spring Break season and prices are high all over Florida. This was one of the least expensive cash rates anywhere during the Spring.
Boca Suites Deerfield Beach Location
The hotel is located inside a business park so there’s not a lot going on immediately nearby it. It’s not easily accessible by transit and you’ll definitely want to come in a car if you visit.
If you’re in a car, you’ll appreciate the proximity to I-95. While it’s not particularly close to the beach, it’s not very far away either being 15 minutes from the public parking garage at Deerfield Beach.

The surrounding area once you leave the business park is just typical Florida suburbia with malls and shopping centers.
Boca Suites Deerfield Beach Property
The hotel is not new but overall the maintenance team has done a great job of keeping it in good condition and feeling fresh enough. This is an efficiency style property so all the room windows face out onto a catwalk. People can walk by and see right into your room if you leave the curtains open which is a drawback for sure. It’s possible this isn’t an issue in some of the premium rooms which feature balconies.
The pool and hot tub are the highlight here and lend the place a real Old Florida vibe. Unfortunately there’s a lot of noise out there being so close to a highway. Lots of trucks go up and down a steep grade to cross over the interstate. If you’ve got noise canceling headphones bring them along.
The noise can reach the rooms too but is not bad at night and I was able to sleep well all five nights of my stay.
The property features a basic free breakfast which doesn’t seem to get overcrowded. There’s no fitness center but there is a laundry room on site.
Boca Suites Deerfield Beach Guest Rooms
For a budget property the rooms here are surprisingly nice. Mine was renovated recently and the furnishings and flooring felt new. There was much less wear and tear than you’d expect of a property at this tier. It definitely impresses more than a typical Days Inn or Super 8.
The room didn’t feature a closet and there was very little storage. It’s apparent that there used to be a shelf or rack near the ironing board and its replacement would add a lot to the room. If they really wanted to impress they should add a unit like the one found in this room for dressing.

It’s a little awkward having a TV that doesn’t face the sofa and doesn’t rotate. Overall though this is a fine room for a budget hotel.
About Boca Raton
Boca is what you think it is. It’s a playground for 401k millionaires. It’s nice but it’s super suburban, with country clubs and golf courses absolutely everywhere.
The beach in Boca Raton is a lot more natural than other South Florida beaches. Much of it is a park so there’s nothing commercial fronting it and definitely no boardwalk like in Hollywood.
The Sixth Borough effect is real and you can see the influence in the Italian Delis and pizza shops here. Northeast retirees is what makes this place go. Hotels are a bit less expensive here than in Lauderdale or Miami. Gasoline is much, much more expensive.
Bottom Line
The Boca Suites Deerfield Beach is great for a budget hotel. Best Western is often aggressive with their promotions so you may earn a free night if you maximize the offers. That’s easy to do because there’s another Best Western property right next door.
If your budget is tight and you’re wondering about the quality at such an inexpensive hotel, relax. It’s certainly nice enough for a stay. Check the rates for your dates and book with confidence.
