I booked this hotel for a single night on Tuesday February 3, 2026 before an early morning flight.
Total room rate and all taxes came out to $114.96. The Doubletree Seattle Airport has an Expedia rating of 7.8 from 2,842 reviews. Check the Expedia rates for your dates.
I chose this hotel because its location is good and $115 is a very good rate for a Doubletree, especially in a place as expensive as Seattle. This stay triggered the quarterly $50 credit on my Hilton Honors Surpass card, bringing the total out of pocket to only $64.96.
Doubletree Seattle Airport Location
The hotel is on the main road right in front of the terminal. You can’t get much closer than this.
It’s about half a mile to the number 1 light rail line which runs to most major points in Seattle. There’s bus service directly outside the hotel as well.

If you’re staying here you probably want to be as close to the terminal as possible so this hotel checks that box no problem.
Doubletree Seattle Airport Property
This hotel is very large and it’s an impressive property all around. Doubletree Seattle Airport consists of a main tower building, the size of a normal hotel, and also several “wings” of three story outlying buildings all connected by interior walkways. The buildings feel like a ski chalet and the exterior property is filled out with lush gardening that insulates the hotel from the parking lot. It’s even got rain chains at each corner.
The pool and hot tub here are quite nice, being set into that garden environment. They were also inexplicably open when I visited in the first week of February. There’s a gym and several ballrooms as well. The free airport shuttles run every 20 minutes.
The property features a restaurant and if you’ve got an elite food and beverage credit to spend here it’s not going to go very far at these prices. There’s also a separate dedicated breakfast area, with breakfast being excluded from the room rate. Overall the property is impressive and exudes old-school class and cool. It feels like stepping back into the Mad Men era staying here.
Doubletree Seattle Airport Guest Rooms
If you’re checking in early on the Hilton app all of the tower rooms above the 3rd floor are paid upgrades only. I skipped this step and received an upgrade to a 10th floor room with 2 queens when checking in at the front desk. The views here are very nice with the tower facing the airfield and the snow-capped mountains visible beyond.
If the weather is fine you can move a couple of chairs out to the balcony to do some plane spotting. Another highlight is the separate wetbar sink outside the bathroom.

The room is not terribly colorful or modern but is very nice and well maintained. It’s got the same old-school vibe as the rest of the property and I really like it quite a lot.
About the SeaTac Area
This location is definitely Airportville, USA. If you’re here you’re either waiting for your flight or recovering from it. Using transit to get to a more desirable area is not difficult but it is very time consuming.

But if you’re stuck out by the airport this isn’t a bad situation to be in. There are some convenience stores nearby and enough fast food and sit-down restaurants to keep you satisfied even beyond a one night stay. There’s a liquor store across the street as well.

Bottom Line
This is a great hotel and a massive bargain at $115. It appears to be a favorite of foreign flight crews and it’s easy to see why. This property has a lot more interest and character than you’ll find at an IHG or Wyndham brand for just a few dollars more.
I can recommend it highly and will be looking here first the next time I’m flying through Seattle. Check the rates for your stay and book with confidence.
