If you’re searching for a hotel near IAH you’ve got every option under the Sun to choose from. And in the end it probably doesn’t make a world of difference so you should just choose on price. That’s what I did recently when flight delays forced me to spend a night near the airport.
There are a number of Hilton properties on this stretch of road and on this occasion the HGI was the cheapest by a significant amount. Let’s see what kind of value it provides.

I booked this hotel for 1 night at the very last minute on Sun, August 31 which was Labor Day Weekend.
That night totaled up to $105.56 after tax. The Hilton Garden Inn IAH Airport has an Expedia rating of 8.2 from 1020 reviews. Check the Expedia rates for your dates.
I chose this hotel because I’m chasing Hilton Diamond status renewal and it was the least expensive in the Hilton app.
Hilton Garden Inn IAH Airport Location
IAH Airport is very far from central Houston and more or less out in the middle of nowhere. It’s hard to get around and the only way to get anywhere is by car.

The Hilton Garden Inn IAH airport, along with the other hotels on Kennedy Blvd has the advantage of being closest to the terminal entrance. Staying on this stretch of road will always be the cheapest Uber and quickest way into the airport in the morning,
Hilton Garden Inn IAH Airport Property
The nice part about being way out in the deep exurbs is that everything is comfy cozy spread out and just like it should be. This is the platonic ideal of a Hilton Garden Inn.
The pool is pretty nice for an airport hotel and the free airport shuttles run every half hour, adding a lot of value to a stay. An uber would be $20-30 from here.
The property has breakfast but it’s not complimentary. The food and beverage credit for elites here is only $10, which is a paltry sum that doesn’t go very far in the lobby market.
Hilton Garden Inn IAH Guest Rooms
Arriving late and leaving in the morning I didn’t stay long in the room and haven’t got many thoughts about it.

It was a great room overall. Didn’t notice any problems during my stay. Good shower, comfy bed, well furnished, clean and free of wear and tear. Everything was just like you’d want it to be.

About The Area
Kennedy Boulevard is heavy on hotels and light on amenities. There’s a few gas stations and fast food spots. The hotel you pick more or less dictates what you can access, since walking here is really a chore.

The only thing easily accessible from the Hilton Garden Inn IAH airport is the biscuit restaurant right next door. It’s open 24 hours so if you’re landing late or taking off very early you should consider booking here because you’re guaranteed to alway have a meal available. The front desk agent says the food there is pretty good.

Bottom Line
This was a really impressive airport hotel for only $105. It was about $40 less than the nearby Doubletree on the night I stayed without any drop-off in quality.
I would definitely stay here again if I’m flying through Houston. Of course, prices are variable. While it’s great at $105, the price can only go so high before I’d look around at the many other hotels nearby.
