There are times it makes sense to splurge on a nicer hotel and times it makes sense to be as economical as possible. Spending one night near an airport before a flight is certainly not a special occasion and paying a premium for a pricier hotel brand seldom makes sense in this scenario. That’s where the Ramada Sea-Tac comes in.

Ramada Sea-Tac Location
The area is what you would expect, with little but airport related businesses nearby. However there are two gas stations close by with mini marts as well as a Denny’s. In fact it is even possible to walk into the airport from this hotel with the light rail stop being only a couple hundred yards away. With a location that nearly borders the airport there is surprisingly little jet noise.
Fortunately it is not necessary to walk because the free airport shuttle operates all day and night. Guests need only arrive in the lobby at :50 or :20 past the hour to catch a twice-hourly ride to the terminal.
Ramada Sea-Tac Property
While airport hotels as a class, and Wyndham brands in particular are very hit-or-miss in terms of quality, this Ramada delivers a high standard while being among the least expensive options near Sea-Tac. As far as Wyndham branded hotels go this is one of the good ones.
The free airport shuttle adds a lot of value to the stay. It operates all day and night. Guests need only arrive in the lobby at :50 or :20 past the hour to catch a twice-hourly ride to the terminal. Lunch and dinner are convenient because there is a very decent family-run Asian restaurant in the lobby that operates until 2am. General Tso’s tofu was crispy, hot and delicious. The main impression is of a well-run property with no signs of seediness or anything unsavory.
Ramada Sea-Tac Guest Rooms
For a property of this age location and branding the level of cleanliness is well above average. The only noticeable deficiency being that the shower walls aren’t thoroughly scrubbed during room turnovers. The decor is not modern or stylish but it is very cozy. The bed and chair are comfortable and the TV works well. Overall it is not unlike staying in the guest room at your aunt’s house in the middle suburbs. A couple of small inconveniences: There is no refrigerator in the space where you would expect to find one and the wifi limits guests to one device per day.
The Wyndham member rate on the night I stayed was $78.40 for a nonsmoking king room. Total cost was $93.28. (Check rates on TripAdvisor.) For that price and with a free shuttle there is incredible value here. If you don’t mind a Wyndham property this one is a good choice.
