Planning a trip to Bangkok is wild. It’s a lot of work sorting through hotels and finding a flight that works for you. But once you’re in the city it won’t take long at all before you find yourself inside a Thai 7-Eleven. On one hand they’re pretty similar to the stores we have here in the US. On the other hand they are completely different in the details. They have coffee, but it comes from a precious little cappuccino machine. They have chips, but they are all shrimp flavored. You might not find a Slurpee but you will find a 20 pound bag of rice.
Popping into one of these stores for a bottle of water is a several-times-a-day habit you’ll have in Thailand. This is also an easy place to find Jack Daniel’s and club soda, bags of ice, and any electronics accessories you might need that run on 220v power.

What’s Inside a Thai 7-Eleven?
There’s not really a whole lot to say about these stores except that they are everywhere. Being open all day and night and accepting credit cards makes them super convenient for travelers.
If you are curious about what you might find in a Thai 7-Eleven you can go through the slideshow and zoomin to see the details of every product. With the exception of the exterior photos and the electronics all of these are from the same 7-Eleven in Bangkok near where I stayed at the Nanatai Suites (read the full review).
Whether you’re looking for a quick breakfast, drinks for the hotel room, stocking up on toiletries or just looking to use the ATM a Thai 7-Eleven has you covered. It can be a traveler’s best friend in a foreign city. Personally I am partial to the hot pot flavored chips and mochi rolls.
